Walk Fort Collins Friday May 29th

The weather as latley was beautiful, the walk started off great with free pizza from Rustic Oven. Which has wonderful lunches and often to get people in the mood has there hostest stand outside and offer pizza samples to all passerbys.

Plank a increible local restuarnt comited to a local menu and good is getting ready to celebrate its 1 yr aniversity with a big party and great beer. As for adventures there rotating menu is always a treat. Its a little pricy so be for worned.

Saw Desmond Yap from Gengreen here is a man I respect, in his off hours he pursues his passion of bicylicng and on some days you can find him wrenching on bikes at Full Cycle.

Talked about Bike Polo which is becoming a big part of my life as we are playing on Wednesdays at 6pm and Sundays at noon.

Saw Hill Grimmett from The Northern Colorado Food Incubator,  I know that I talk about passion a fair bit here and if its annoying I am sorry, its the thing in people I notice the most, and with Hill is very evident as he has been slaving away to create the NCIF for all the upcoming food entrepreneurs of Northern Co.

Owners of The White Balcony I don’t feel like I need to say much other than go, they sell cool stuff.

I got noticed by Anny Randel who I met at Ignite Fort Collins. She owns Savaant Music as she was enjoying a fine lunch at Jeje’s with her husbanb, I don’t know her that well so I can’t gush over her yet, she was reading Groundswell so she has that going for her!

Saw Jason from Green Logic who is another local legend, he runs and owns his sotre that is filled with really clever and fair priced responible products.

Helped the Hammonk man move his unit in place.

Saw Matt Robenalt walking in the plaza, he like all the other people I see and talk about in old town is kind a big deal. He is the excuitve director of the Downtown Development Authority, and would be a lot of fun to go on a walk with.

“The first time I see someone they barely crack a smile, if I see them again in my laps of old town they have this huge smile on there face sometimes they even give me a high five!” —

May 28th Walk Fort Collins

The walk started early today as I left my house a group of men where working on there bike with one tool, the wrong tool at that. I ran back up the stairs and gave them my tool set to use and they left it in my car when they were done.

The new bread place on the corner of mountain and mason has me salivating, if you read the little bio the owner is new to Fort Collins from Key West, FL

I am noticing a lot of bikes that are always parked in the same place, which is nice to  see, I am also starting to establish a few regulars, that I see on most days. I am excited to make some new friends.

As for the number of bikes cruising old town today was the first day I gave more high fives than I saw people riding there bikes on the sidewalk.

The Realities Ride was a huge event in old town this weekend, live music, motorcycle show, bun out contest, vendor tents and more. Its unfortunate that they a huge black mark on old town where they were doing the burn out contest. Is it ok to leave a huge black spot in the middle of the road? I am not sure if I agree, it will hopefully go away. If not I’ll be blog about it again, its hard to miss as I walk old town everyday.

The collective art gallery is closing its doors for good I wonder who will come in next?

Saw the great Phat Cycles Tandem again.

Otterbox Uniforms

Otterbox is got to be a good company or at least they make there employees where clothes with there logo on it. I would lean to the great company side as they are making a clever product and hiring people who are passionate about what they do. I met last night at ignite, the director of otter development, also know in traditional circles as a the HR manager.

Matter Bookstore and May 28th

The weather was beautiful and with that the number of people outside was huge, I spent most of the time talking with bicyclist with cool bike and spreading the word about the alley cat that is coming Friday Night.

If you haven’t been into the Matter Bookstore in the back of the Bean Cycle you are in for a treat I ran into Todd Simmons a man who lives his passion. He is runs Wolverine Farm Publishing, and the bookstore, there Matter Journal is about to release and they will  be having a big party to celebrate on June 19th, these parties are some of the best in old town.
